welcome to The old inn

I really should not tell you this, as I would rather have that beautiful place all to myself! The Old Inn at Staffin is PERFECT! I felt like we had stepped back in time. The setting,on a hill overlooking the Staffin Bay and the village was spectacular. It was easy to appreciate from the glass sun room off the back of the house. That room alone was worth the rental. Big comfy couch looking out over the hills where the moon rises above the mountains. The house is larger than the pictures make it seem. Beautiful shades of grey stone, dark wood and glass. Large , well-equipted kitchen. Great living room with two leather couches, big wooden coffee table, flat screen wall TV, stereo, DVD player, wood stove and iron candleabra (My favorite room!) Soft, flame colored textures painted walls. Large dining room with fireplace and beautiful wooden table seats 8. Windows in the dining room and living room look out out the village in the distance. Three bedrooms upstairs with views of the bay and the village. Nice, comfortable beds with plush quilts. Two bathrooms, one up and one down. Upstairs bathroom has the best long soaking tub ever! Calum, the owner was delightful to deal with. He left us a bottle of white wine and shortbread on the kitchen table when we arrived and provided any information we required. He always responded swiftly to all questions. The only problem with this place is that now I am back in the US and it's still on Skye :-( Best rental I have ever had! Thank-you Calum!
